San Diego, March 29-31
Share space with change-makers like you who are in search of a collective experience to highlight current triumphs and challenges, leverage student voice, and move from aspiration to action.
Started in 2013, Deeper Learning is more than a conference. The depth of dialogue, reflection, and inspiration is focused on building a movement that catalyzes educators toward collective and transformative action.
DL22 is a collective experience rooted in radical joy where our community can gather to define a vision for amplifying deeper learning and transformative liberation in schools and communities across the globe.
The event launches Tuesday, 3/29 at 1p and concludes Thursday, 3/31 @ 1p. Whether you want to dive into workshop sessions, engage with educational luminaries in the den talks, or be inspired by dynamic keynotes, DL22 offers you voice and choice in how you spend your time.
Day 1 is all about connecting (and reuniting) as a deeper learning community with opportunities to engage with other attendees in smaller group sessions as well as a whole group conference kick-off and reception.
Day 2 is all about experiencing deeper learning for yourself through immersive deep dive sessions. Students are at the center of this work and will lead attendees through reflection and dialogue in a Share Your Learning Showcase.
Day 3 is all about building momentum through the deeper learning movement and its impact on practice. With opportunities to engage in a second round of workshop or den talks and a can’t miss closing keynote from Anjel Newmann & sam seidel.
The 9th annual gathering of deeper learners from across the globe will be brought to you as both an in-person event in San Diego [DLsandiego] and a virtual event [DLvirtual] from the comfort of your own space. Choose the all-access pass that best fits your needs!
Join us in San Diego with live dynamic keynotes & den talks, immersive workshops & deep dives, stylish DL swag and delicious food.
Join us for a curated one-day event, featuring a 4-hour interactive and immersive virtual experience and get access to recorded keynotes and den talks after the in-person DL22 event.
Make your travel plans accordingly! You don’t want to miss the closing session at DL22 [Thursday, March 31 @ 11:30am] with Anjel Newmann & sam seidel.
Anjel and sam met 20 years ago as student and teacher. This co-keynote about deeper learning, hip hop culture, design thinking + community will amplify over two decades of learning together and leave you ready to do the work as you return to your context.
Event Health & Safety
We recognize the opportunity to gather in-person is full of emotions, questions, and might not be the option for all our deeper learners. It will be a full three years since our deeper learning community was able to gather and dive deep into workshops, dance shoulder to shoulder and share a meal. While much of the in-person experience will still have “coachella for educator” vibes, we have a commitment and responsibility to prioritize the health & wellness of all those in our learning community.
All DLsandiego attendees, presenters, and staff will need to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated in order to attend the event in person. In addition to being fully vaccinated, all DLsandiego in-person attendees will need to complete either a PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of the event. See more about our COVID-19 event safety measures by clicking on the button below.
High Tech High Campus
DLsandiego is hosted at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education in sunny San Diego. With the innovative and inspiring High Tech High schools as the setting for this immersive experience, attendees are embedded within the context of what deeper learning is all about.
